Family Facing Housing Crisis

One of our Ukrainian refugee families in Ashland is facing severe challenges with housing and is in need
of temporary assistance We brought this family from Kyiv when the city was under siege, and they
feared for the safety of their family.

Their transition has been very rocky. The family has experienced ongoing financial difficulties due to the fact that the husband is disabled and the wife’s income is limited as a housecleaner. In addition, their four-year-old daughter has medical issues. Their son is a freshman at Ashland High School.

Due to the challenges that they have faced here and the uncertainty of their refugee status under this administration, they are now planning to return to Europe in the fall.

We are asking for your help in finding a home for this family of four where they could stay rent-free from April 1 until September 1. Financial sponsorship to cover their rent would be another option, as the needs of other families and our budgetary constraints prevent us from being able to provide this support.

They are clean, diligent and responsible people. Our community has been so supportive of our Ukrainian refugees during the course of this war so we are hopeful in turning to you for this humanitarian assistance.

Thank you for your consideration.
